The Mission of LF is to strengthen our community by enhancing individual and collective leadership potential.
Welcome to the Leadership Forsyth Program located in Cumming, Georgia. It is one of the many 501(c)3 non-profit Leadership organizations established throughout Georgia and the United States. The educational program encourages and fosters the development of community leaders by using a formal study program. The development of the program began in 1989 by existing Forsyth County business and community leaders.
The purpose of the program is to provide leadership training and inspire a network of emerging leaders thru an educational experience that increases all participants’ knowledge, awareness of community institutions and involvement with community leaders and resources. Through this experience the participants become better able to involve themselves in community life and better prepared to lead Forsyth County to a better future. Leadership Forsyth does not attempt to create a consensus of opinion or to promote any specific issue.
Our program has graduated 400+ participants and consists of an evening orientation, one two-day retreat, nine one-day class sessions, periodic study group sessions, a class project and a graduation. Meetings and activities are distributed over a ten-month period beginning in August. Broadening the leadership base requires on-going leadership development programs to prepare new and to strengthen existing leaders. The Leadership Forsyth Program enables Forsyth County citizens to realize their full leadership potential and recognize their responsibility as community, youth and organizational leaders. It prepares them to identify, address, and meet current and future challenges.
